Healing With The Acuscope

The Acuscope and Myopulse simultaneously measure and balance the abnormal electrical resistance in injured tissue. To all of you in the United States I wish a Happy Thanksgiving to you.
And a Happy and Healthy life to all who read this journal.
Since I had my cardiac arrest on May 4, 2007, I began to look at what I eat. Little did I know that even organic food sometimes works against the body of some people. Just within the last 6 weeks I found out through blood work that I am gluten intolerant and allergic to many of the foods I use to eat. This has led me to explore the multitude of foods out there.
But I know on Thanksgiving Day most Americans will probably overeat and then wonder why their body is turning on them. You can enjoy Thanksgiving Day without the stuffing coming out of the turkey and going into you.

The Cycle of Emotional Eating

There are 4 phases to the cycle of emotional eating: trigger, cover up, false bliss, hangover
1) The trigger is an event or situation that causes a painful or emotional response.
Recognizing a trigger can help you interrupt a cycle before it starts. But many times you fall into the cycle quickly and then find you are in deeply. Sometimes this may take professional help if the cycle is deeply imbedded in you psyche.

2) The cover up comes from something happening that makes the person feel they are not good enough and they cover up frequently with food or drink. Gluten, dairy and sugar creates an adrenaline effect. This makes you feel better almost immediately.

3) False bliss comes from whatever you do to cover up and gives you the feeling that everything is fine.

4) Hangover: Unfortunately the feeling of bliss wears off over a period of time and the hangover sets in. This can sometimes set you up in a new pattern and up comes another trigger. This cycle just takes you downward.

Breaking the cycle begins with understanding the problem and as you identify the trigger it becomes easier to pull away from the downward trend and begin going upward. There are times when you may need professional help to break this cycle.

How you think about your health often determines you level of health.
A challenge to clean living is changing your habits. Resistance to changing your habits can happen in all areas of your life. Food and emotional eating is one big area. Most of the time we know what works but we have trouble making the necessary changes. When we follow a wellness program and then don’t follow it we get into a yo-yo cycle and often begin to spiral down. And poor habits create more poor habits.
If we understand the cycle of emotional eating–why it happens, how it works, and what to do when you recognize it in your life–you turn the spiral upwards.

Exercise or Die

Dr. Robb Wolf writes in his book, The Paleo Solution: On a molecular level lack of exercise literally changes who we are. Your genotype is the genetics you received from Mom and Dad. Your phenotype is how these genetics are expressed. If you are the sedentary type you are headed for potential disease. Just look at today’s world. If you are on a smart exercise program you are a different person.
Our ancestors were hunter-gatherers. Their lives were much healthier than most of us today.
No matter what our age we can choose to continue exercising or even start. Most sedentary people who start an exercise regime will become healthier and in most cases happier.

Fat is Good for You

Most people think of fat a a dirty word. It’s something we carry around with us that makes us look, well “fat”. But fat is an important fuel and it is a building block for many of our cell membranes and hormones. The reality is that fat is more than just fuel or raw materials. Our brains are mostly fat. Most our our nerves are fat. Reproductive hormones are fat. Yes, there are different types of fat. And there are eve essential fats. Fats that if you do not get enough of, or the right ratios, you will become sick or die.
Fats come in three “sizes”: saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated.
To learn more turn to the book “The Paleo Solution” and it will give you all the knowledge you need to turn from the FALSE diets of low fat-hi carbs. Unfortunately, just like today, the people in congress are not scientists, they are after all politicians who are worried about their job – not your health.
Even recent articles in the AARP magazine and newsletter have conflicting notes. One says: low fat hi carbs; another hi fat low carbs. So if you just take some doctor’s word and don’t do the research yourself you could be led down the path of destruction.

Inflammation

It keeps coming back to INFLAMMATION. Inflammation is a natural process that we will die without, but we will also die with too much.
We can prevent or reverse cancer, diabetes, neurodegeneration, and infertility (depending on how far down the road to destruction you have wandered).

Celiac Disease

Celiac disease is the result of an autoimmune mechanism initiated by the GALT when detecting the surface of gliadin. Glutenin can also trigger a series of reactions, which result in destruction of the intestinal wall and gut dysfunction, but not by gluten’s surface being recognized as threatening. Glutenin stimulates the immune system to release interleukin-15, one of the immune system’s most lethal weapons, which it employs in the detection and elimination of cancerous cells. Interleukin-15 eats up the intestinal wall which leads to abnormalities in absorption and permeability.
Today, gluten sensitivity is considered a common systemic autoimmune disease. Avoiding gluten is especially important during gut repair programs, but for many it is important to avoid gluten permanently.

I recently found out that I was gluten intolerant, but I don’t have celiac disease. Then other tests showed that I was allergic to many things including milk, eggs, peanuts,etc. This radically changed my diet and with the help of biofeedback and electromyography I am healthy again.
