Eating a diet heavy on meat and cheese may be as harmful to you as smoking a cigarette, researchers claim. This has long been established but mostly ignored because of the meat and dairy industries.

Eat more fruits and vegetables. The skin of apples has many healthful nutrients.

Learn to laugh – even if it’s at yourself. Numerous people have said “Laughter is the best medicine”. It lowers your stress level and helps you body relax.

Doctors on average live ten years less than other people. This may be stress and overwork but if your doctor is grossly overweight don’t listen to them on weight control.

I highly recommend reading the book “How Healthy Is Your Doctor?” by Dr Kathryn Collins. It adds to my knowledge of how we, the patient, should take charge of our health.
