ADHD and the Drug Companies

Thursday, November 10th, 2011

According to the National Mental Health Association, nearly 4.5 million kids in the US have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

And that figure is double for adults–nearly 9 million are affected!

Up until now, stimulant medications have been the treatment of choice for people with ADHD, with some being on them for DECADES. The drug companies love this.  No one involved in ADHD drug marketing wants information about natural, effective solutions to be publicized…Because the money train would stop dead on the tracks.

There are a lot of guinea pigs walking around dutifully taking their Ritalin. The drug companies love this.

Two things may help obliterate ADHD:

1)   is diet. The need for real food and proper nutrition is fundamental in a young growing child.

2)   The gluten connection. Current estimates say that 1 in 3 people today are gluten intolerant.

If you have a child with ADHD find a doctor who is not dependent on the drug company. Even before that you might start with a diet of real food and stay away from the processed foods.
